Methane workshop: 7 years to 75% reduction
In November 2022, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) released a regulatory framework proposing to reduce oil and gas methane emissions by at least 75% from 2012 levels by 2030. Canadian operators need to comply with these forthcoming regulations, navigating a changing ecosystem of measurement technologies and an expanding array of voluntary measurement and/or certification programs.
Validere's Erin Tullos, Senior Advisor, Carbon Strategies and Corey Wood, VP, Emissions, Regulatory & Carbon Strategy will be hosting a workshop where they will discuss:
- Need-to-know aspects of proposed Canadian federal methane reduction regulations
- How you can use methane measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) to monitor, model, and mitigate emissions
- How different measurement technologies and voluntary programs can help producers demonstrate their emissions credentials
